Frequently asked questions.

  • What is it you want to accomplish? Do you know what goals you want to achieve or is this what you need coaching for... to seek clarity and direction?

How much am I willing to invest? Life coaching requires a commitment of one hour a week, one to one coaching and time throughout the week for reflection and growth assessments. The more you put into the experience, the more you will get out of it. It is also a financial investment, make sure you can commit financially without stress and are willing to put the work in and utilise me to get value you are paying for.

Do I prefer structure or a customised approach? Many coaches offer programs and group coaching, which have terrific results for a certain purpose. One to one coaching is unique to you. That is what you pay for, going at your own pace, been coached as an individual to see individualised results.

What results have they achieved with other clients? As an accredited coach with the IAPC&M I coach many clients for many different reasons. I will however not take on a client if I feel that I am not the right professional for them and will achieve greater results elsewhere. Please read reviews and testimonials on my website or social media. Although I can not disclose confidential information I will happily share success stories that I feel will benefit your journey.

  • Coaching is still greatly an unregulated industry and we are changing this. I trained with the Pure Coaching Academy in London under the famous Carole Ann Rice. I then went on to gain my accreditation status with the International Authority for Professional Coaching and Mentoring- to maintain the highest possible industry standards through quality provision of its coaches. The IAPC&M’s value statement is the most closely linked to the medical profession: “With a focus on quality and the end user, we believe our coaches and mentors are the best in the business.” Adele McCormack, ASC IAPC&M Head of Professional Standards.

  • A professional practitioner that is trained to help you gain clarity on your future, goal setting and support you on the path to getting you there. A coach will help you uncover your beliefs and any obstacles that may not be serving you. Unlike therapy we work in the present for the future, although we may touch on past experiences we do not stay in the past. A life coach is for you if you want to thrive, to maximise your time now and raise your game. We focus on lifelong habits for lasting change. I will challenge you, motivate you, encourage and support you in achieving your goals.

  • Although both professionals offer support in mental health and give you strength to move forward, coaching focuses on where you are now and where you want to go. Therapy is recommended for past trauma or where a coach cannot move you through a reoccurring obstacle. Life coaching is action orientated, we create goals, action plans and hold you accountable, whereas therapy is more coping and healing focused. As a coach Practioner I help you get ‘unstuck’ and move you forward in life to thrive. Therapists are trained in human behaviour and mental health conditions.

  • The answer is anybody! Although as a coach I will only accept clients that show these characteristics; a need for change, are focused on achieving their goals, invested mentally, emotionally and financially and are prepared to take action.

  • Each session is one hour long and has a focus and a clear outcome. Each session will follow on from a previous session and there will be a pre-coaching form completed before the next session. Throughout sessions actions and achievements will be reviewed as well as progress to be made. Any concerns or obstacles will be addressed and then solutions explored with action steps to take before the next session. I always follow up my coaching sessions with feedback, recommendations and personal assignments- this is what sets me apart. Sessions can be held over zoom or the telephone depending on your personal preferences and location. I coach internationally therefore online coaching is most convenient however I am happy to meet clients locally.
